The Abacus family of products by Spirent Communications offers an industry-leading solution for IP Telephony.

The Abacus solution offers functional and performance testing that enables service providers and manufacturers to attain the highest quality results from their networks or communications equipment.

Abacus test systems generate and switch traffic (low to high density) over a variety of Analog, TDM and IP interfaces – CAS, ISDN PRA and BRA, GR-303, V5.1, V5.2, SS7, SIP, MGCP, H.323, and Megaco/H.248.

All Abacus platforms support advanced voice quality metrics (PSQM/PSQM+; PESQ). Voice testing is performed in real time and at high capacity, up to full coverage.

Abacus 5000

Spirent Abacus 5000 IP Telephony test system is a fully integrated VoIP and PSTN Telephony test system in a single platform, with analog, TDM and Ethernet interfaces for comprehensive and realistic testing. Abacus 5000 allows users to objectively measure Voice Quality (MOS, PSQM, PSQM+, PESQ) under real-world voice stream load generation. Other test methodologies include functional, decode, performance and interoperability testing.

Abacus1

Abacus1 meets the demand for scalable and modular telephony test systems designed to meet requirements for low- to medium-density PSTN traffic generation and switching. Abacus1 provides voice, fax and modem testing over the broadest range of PSTN protocols: analog loop start and ground start, E&M analog, SLC-96, CAS, ISDN PRA and BRA, V5.1, V5.2, GR-303 and SS7.

Abacus2

Abacus2 is the only test platform that meets the most demanding requirements for performance, capacity and density testing of TDM and VoIP equipment and networks. Abacus2 supports up to 16 T3/E3, 448 T1, 320 E1 circuits or 64 Ethernet ports and handles an unparalleled 10,000+ channels of call generation and switching, generating traffic at 20 million calls per hour.
