DTS Compare is designed to compare DTS packages, jobs, logins and SQL Server settings between two Microsoft SQL Servers. For DBAs managing multiple servers it will save time and improve effectiveness when you need to compare different servers. The only way to carry out a comparison without DTS Compare is by manually looking at the two servers and writing all the settings down on paper.

DTS Compare is written entirely in Visual Studio .NET using the language C#, so you must have the (free) .NET redistributables installed on your PC for it to work.
