Overview

ETM provides a web-based, configurable user interface that empowers marketing and pipeline companies to define its solution footprint while capitalizing on the secure and confidential environment of the Internet. The system affords users extensibility through open integration with and to the enterprise information system via enhanced functionality through proven technology. ETM is a feature-rich application suite providing robust functionality to manage and resolve complex issues for the energy market including energy convergence, complex integration requirements, internationalization and the need for an enterprise-wide view of profits and losses, risks and trading positions.

ETM provides a very scalable product that can perform for both large and small marketing and pipeline companies. The application addresses issues related to the International Market through flexible regional settings and languages, while still meeting NAESB requirements for the North American market. In addition, hourly capabilities can be supported throughout the system from deal-making to nominating and scheduling to settlement and invoicing. ETM is a configurable, parameter driven application, offering the flexibility necessary to adapt to changing business environments.

The business object framework of ETM consists of Enterprise Java Beans (EJBs) that are built using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, allowing developers to implement specific application requirements while preserving the system's core business functionality and benefits. Specifically, Utility Objects form the foundation of the application. These reusable components allow developers to build and extend applications on this core business framework. Energy Domain Objects are a set of energy specific objects created by SunGard Energy Systems to support multiple commodities or business processes. Examples of energy specific objects include business associates, accounting companies, points, facilities, capacities and deals.
