Overview

ePAL provides a top quality, internet-based administration service for private client investment managers, which combines STP and links to the SunGard Transaction Network. With more than 20 years of experience in providing high-quality extremely reliable portfolio administration services, it is our understanding that investment managers are likely to gain and retain more clients if they provide superior administration.

The use of Web based technology gives access to an extensive range of on-line management information:

 *Portfolio valuation enquiry facilities
*Versatile dealing and share allocation aids to encourage and facilitate block trading.
 *Options to view/print linked portfolios (discretionary, PEP's & ISA's)

Support is given across all areas of private client business including capital events & fee administration. Our team-orientated approach enables you to use our customer service as an extension of your own back-office. As an ePAL customer you will have dedicated support across all areas. You will know who is responsible for your account at all times, and can be assured that your queries will be answered swiftly and expertly. The comprehensive reporting package is a central feature of the ePAL Service. By providing the fund manager with accurate and timely CGT positions the fund manager is able to block deal on behalf of clients, while taking into account individual requirements.

The ePAL Service targets the retail end of the fund management industry, and is particularly suitable for the administration of discretionary portfolios, ISAs and also Personal Equity Plans. The product is offered as a service embodying the ePAL computer facilities, production support, customer support, and the provision of securities and other market data. The Service performs most smoothly when the customer operates on a nominee basis for pooled registration of all clients' stock. This substantially reduces paperwork and routine administration. ePAL keeps track of the individual client's position that make up the pool, in effect acting as a sub-custodian and providing on-going information to simplify stock reconciliations. The Service will reconcile and control clients' dividend positions, and also records individual private clients' cash positions, allowing the customer to maintain a pooled bank account for clients' money. Reports are available to help make the daily reconciliation of bank balances simple and straightforward.

Existing features of the ePAL Service are:

*Data download facility: permits customers to extract user-driven data and automatically import it into a spreadsheet.
*CD-ROM-based report archive: contains electronic replicas of printed reports sent to the user's clients.
*Order Management Facility: enables customers to create and place equity and unit trust orders electronically via the SunGard Transaction Network (STN); Orders can be routed using a unique reference to ePAL's bargain-input facility. Confirmed market trades are matched with the client trades and automatically routed to ePAL's Settlement Accounting System.
