Component Defect Management System (CDMS) is used in rolling stock maintenance depots to manage the defects of trains and the planning of regular maintenance.

The system can be used stand-alone in each depot or in wide area network mode.

CDMS is currently being enhanced to provide an interface to Genius, the industry-wide rolling stock management system. Once this interface is complete there will be a two way interchange of information between CDMS and Genius.
