Transcend

From the publisher website or publicity

TRANSCEND addresses the needs of Local Authorities and Bus Companies in managing local bus service provision. It is designed to help:

 *plan networks and services
 *monitor partnerships and compliances
 *reimburse concessionary revenue foregone
*apportion travel card and through ticketing revenues

A proven solution

TRANSCEND is well proven and used by five of the seven UK PTEs and over 20 shire counties and unitary councils. Many bus companies also use it for their own management reporting and control purposes.

TRANSCEND imports data from the Electronic Ticket Machines (ETMs) used by participating bus companies to issue tickets, filtered to protect commercial confidentiality, and transforms it into rapidly accessible management information.

Flexible reporting

TRANSCEND offers a portfolio of standard reports, an on-screen interactive grid for sorting and manipulating report data and a powerful interrogation facility. The Dart interrogation facility enables users to drill down through the data held in the ticket archive, right down to details of an individual journey. It is ideal for investigating complaints or other incidents, or to seek out trends or anomalies that would otherwise be hard to detect.

Benefits

*Enables local authorities to exploit ticketing data to monitor patronage, punctuality, reliability and service quality. It can also be used to demonstrate value for money on subsidised services and to discover the effects of changes such as price increases
*Enables local authorities to reimburse concessionary fares revenue foregone by bus companies
*Provides the ability to apportion revenues from travel cards and county-wide through ticketing schemes
*Helps local authorities to monitor the quality of partnerships and local initiatives, as well as contract compliances.
