BT Contract Extended

HM Customs and Excise have extended the by three years an outsourcing agreemnent with BT. The contract covers supply, operation of, and management of the Customs Handling of Import and Export Freight (Chief) service. Over 4,700 traders and freight forwarders are connected directly to Customs Officers using the service. The deal worth £28.7m lasts until 2010.
