Termination of an outsourcing contract by the Cabinet Office has cost ITNet £24m. The contract involved a £83m data centre. The charge turned a £8.7m profit into a £16.6m loss for the six months to June 30.

Following recent situations involving collapsed government contracts, ITNet is hopeful of recovering most of the money.
