Acquisition of Topcall

Vienna based Topcall is the target for Dicom in a £27m deal. An supplier of software for the acquisition and digisation of information, Dicom expects the deal to expand its offerings.

Dicom also announced increased operating profit of £12.9, up 10%. Pre-tax profit however fell by 11% to 7.8m

The companies offerings complement each other. Topcall can capture a wider range of media. Faxes, emails, speech and video.

Sales methods differ as well. Dicom operates resellers with over 90% going through this channel. Topcall has a direct-sales model.

Dicom expects to wrap up the deal by November. It has to have 75% acceptance of the target shareholders.
