Microsoft is in the wars again. This time with Californian local authorities, over alleged over-charging back to 1995.
The cities and counties of Los Angeles and San Francisco have both joined in the class action suit against the software maker.
As usual, Microsoft was putting a positive spin on the story. Initial comments from the company said "we fully believe that we have provided very competitive prices and great solutions for our customers."
Indeed the company thought it had put its legal problems behind it. Thus enabling a $60bn distribution of cash to shareholders.
Californian customers have already been the recipients of a $1.1bn settlement over over-charging.
