Ebay Expands Again

Google

Web www.software-risk.co.uk

Ebay has purchased 25% of earliest Internet success stories. Craigs list is a network of online communities in over 45 cities.

Whereas Ebay is now a huge multinational operation, with 48m active users, Craigslist is definitely local.

The business aspect of Craigslist is online classified advertising. Initially it was a list operated by Craig Newmark about parties. Eventually it spread to jobs and and places to live.

Ebay currently has little involvement in the classified business or the burgeoning Internet advertising market.

Recently it has signalled a desire to move into these markets with the purchase of Advertising.com.

Exact details of the future relationship have not been released by Ebay.
