Control of dotcom shooting star, Baltimore Technologies has passed to an activist investment group. Acquisitor Holdings ousted the board at annual and extraordinary meetings on Monday.

At the height of the boom, Baltimore had been valued at over £5bn. Specialising in Internet security, the company spectacularly rode the wave of hysteria. However by last year it was a £25m cash shell.

The Board of Baltimore had wanted to return up to £10 to shareholders. However 38 resolutions at the meetings had gone Acquisitors way.
