Web www.software-risk.co.uk

Germans will soon be able to arrange a loan and other financial products through their local Coffee House. Royal Bank of Scotland has signed a deal with Tchibo. 870 of the company's outlets.

The deal follows a successful 9 month trial. However RBS did not detail how much money they will make through the arrangement.

The products will be sold through RBS's Comfort Cards division. Over 2 million card users in Germany use the services of Comfort Cards.

RBS has been acquisitive over the past few years. Latest purchase has been the US bank Charter One for $10.5bn.

Concern has been raised that RBS is spending too much for its new divisions.

RBS is being very cagey about its moves into Europe. Even if the company has the third largest credit card provider in Germany
