YWCA of Silicon Valley TWIN Award Recognizes Barsamian for Exemplifying Excellence in Executive Level Position

Mountain View, CA – May 3, 2006 – Today, Mercury Interactive Corporation (OTC: MERQ), the global leader in business technology optimization (BTO) software, announced that Sue Barsamian, Mercury’s vice president of global sales operations and enablement, has been honored by the YWCA of Silicon Valley with a Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) Award. In its 22nd year, the YWCA of Silicon Valley’s TWIN Awards Program honors not only women who demonstrate excellence and top leadership within their companies, but also the companies that employ these women.

“Sue has played an instrumental role in guiding Mercury through periods of rapid growth and change while demonstrating unparalleled leadership and creativity,” said Tony Zingale, chief executive officer at Mercury. “Most importantly, she serves as an outstanding role model for other aspiring women within our organization and throughout the technology industry.”

Barsamian joined Mercury in 2003 and has since led corporate and strategic marketing and global go-to-market and enablement for the company. In her new role as vice president of global sales operations and enablement, Barsamian is responsible for ensuring the alignment and enablement of all field operating groups within Mercury.

This has been another impressive year for TWIN,” said Dr. Keri Procunier McLain, chief executive officer of the YWCA of Silicon Valley. “We received a large number of nominations from top-level companies. I hold these women in high regard because they truly are the best of the best.”

Selection criteria for the 2006 TWIN Awards includes having senior-level functional management responsibility, possessing outstanding leadership qualities and serving as a successful role model for other women transitioning into executive positions. Barsamian and Mercury were recognized alongside the other 2006 honorees at an awards and fundraising dinner on May 2, 2006, at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel.
