A web-based system for security mandates has been launched by consultant and actuarial firm Millman. The firm claims that it is scaleable and customizable solution for compliance with security mandates. Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, GLBA and various European requirements. The product, MS2, provides clients with a platform and tools for confidentiality of sensitive data and dealing with identity theft. Despite significant investments in security, many companies still lack consistent regulatory compliance controls throughout their organizations, said John Phelan, Ph.D., manager of MS2. "This is especially true in an age of geographically diverse business units where acquisitions and outsourcing have become commonplace," Phelan added. A whole range of safeguards are covered by the suite. Administrative, physical and technical tools are covered. Document management tools are also included. ISO, NIST and CobIT are also covered.
