Foundry Networks is claiming to have secured LAN infrastructure with the release of its IronVIew Network Manager 2.0.

The software suite uses scalable threat detection and automatic mitigation. Closed loop threat mitigation is dealt with using traffic monitoring and threat analysis.

INM R2.0 is the next generation of Foundry's centralized management offering, delivering a broad range of powerful features designed to configure, secure, and scale Foundry's wired, wireless, and application traffic management solutions.

Network security is provided by sFlow (TM) traffic monitoring, embedded in Foundry switches and routers and open source security applications such as SNORT.

INM is a "Closed Loop" security solution.

INM R2.0 also includes a number of features for enhanced discovery, configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and management of Foundry's wired and wireless network infrastructure products.
