eFortresses has selected BSI Management Systems to perform independent certification audits on its clients.

The audits are needed to achieve ISO 27001 certification for proactive Information Security Management.

Achieving ISO 27001 may come to be seen as a stepping stone to various regulatory compliance matters. The usual suspects are the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, HIPAA, Visa CISP/PCI, FACT Act and Basel II.

ISO 27001 certification was recently derived from the internationally accepted Information Security Management code of practice - ISO/IEC 17799:2005.
