Sirva, an American relocation firm is to impliement the Reconnex iGuard content monitoring appliance to protect privacy of employees and customers.

The move comes in the wake of needs to comply with regulations such as the Graham-Leach Bliley Act, Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the California SB 1386 privacy Act.

To comply with federal and state privacy mandates, SIRVA has developed stringent privacy policies, and one of Shmayel's key responsibilities is to enforce them. The company blocks Webmail and Instant Messages (IM), but the Reconnex iGuard enables security to find out if any personal information, private data, or intellectual property is flowing in or out of the corporate network via unencrypted emails. SIRVA can use the product's risk discovery capabilities to build a complete history of a security incident, including how many people were compromised and where the email went, so security can take action in accord with corporate policies.
