BWise has been selected to support Southern Company's efforts for compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
The electricity company plans to implement BWise at the corporate level and across the company's regulated utilities. These inclued Alabama Power, Georgia Power, Gulf Power and Mississippi Power, wireless businesses and fiber optics businesses.
BWise is a provider of solutions in the compliance and risk management software markets. Part of their sales pitch is the software not only helps with compliance but can streamline business processes and enhance performance.
