A Kalido business intelligence system has been rolled out by Labatt Breweries. Target for the new software is cutting the introduction of new business performance metrics from four months to one week.
Labatts is implementing the new datawarehouse on top of it Oracle-based ERP system.
Data Manager at Labatt, Jonathon Starkey commented "ERP is great for operational reporting, but it does not go down to detailed performance measures.
Supply chain, profitability and efficiency are all measures that Labatts wants to measure more effectively.
Flexibility and the ability to handle change over time were the main drivers for selecting Kalido.
In particular data models did not have to be frozen, nor did reporting fixed in advance.
Other technologies involved in the datwarehouse are IBM AIX databases, Oracle application servers.
