Avocent Sarbanes-Oxley and CRM

Avocent, an Alabama-based company has automated its helpdesk with Soffront's CRM application.

Initially only in Alabama, the application is now in use in Europe, Hong Kong and other US states.

The software is used to track and manage IT infrastructure problems .

"We selected Soffront over other CRM solutions because it offered a robust, feature-rich, web-based solution that was also easy to customize, explained Tom Ridinger, administrator, Avocent Corporation. "Now our IT managers have instant access to overdue tickets, projects, and open issues across all sites."

A time-consuming manual task can now be automated using the new tool. The tickets are routed automatically using rules based on the employee's location and the type of problem.

As an aside Avocent is using Soffront CRM to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. They use the suite as the central repository of for any audit related question.
