Bloomberg Professional now has Standard & Poor's municipal bond pricing, Municipal Benchmark Yield Curves and Standard & Poor's/Investortools Municipal Bond Total Return Index.

The information can be linked to spreadsheets by Bloomberg users. Additional calculations can also be ran using Bloomberg utilities. An example cited by S&P is viewing total returns for any user-defined period since the index began in 1998.

Created in December 1998, the Standard & Poor's/Investortools Municipal Total Return Index enables users to monitor how municipal bonds in general sectors and subsectors are performing relative to comparable investments or sectors, allowing financial services professionals to benchmark and analyze portfolio and risk performance against subsets of the Main Municipal Bond Index.
