OnBase, an ECM solution from Hyland has saved the Pennsylvania Treasury over $12.4m in six months. Over 5 years a forecast $140m is claimed.

Transaction fees relating to State Supplementary Payments have been reduced by 90% using OnBase. In most cases costs have been reduced to $0.88 from $9.08.
The $140m figure includes reduced maintenance costs.
The deployment of OnBase by Pennsylvania took less than eight months.
Commonwealth employees use OnBase's document imaging and management, workflow and records management.
SSI is a Federal assistance program for people 65 years or older, as well as for blind or disabled people of any age. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is one of ten states, along with the District of Columbia, that support the SSI State Supplement, which is administered by the SSA. All disbursements, which are distributed via direct deposit or paper check, are generated during the last week of each month for delivery by the 1st of the following month.
Hyland's Public Sector Solutions unit handled the implementation.
OnBase is used in clusters throughout Federal, State and Local government, including Financial Services & Accounts Payable, Agenda & Minutes, Judicial Systems, Health and Human Services, Law Enforcement, Public Works and Affordable Housing.
