Hyland Software has released OnBase 5.0 as the latest incarnation of its enterprise content management (ECM) suite.

New features include collaboration and e-mail archiving functionality , core electronic document management enhancements. New vertical applications tailored for healthcare and financial services institutions are provided.

Hyland is aiming to build a complete and integrated suite of ECM applications, according to founder and CEO A.J. Hyland.

Tools such as OnBase can assist with creating a framework for governance, risk and compliance initiatives.
