Bloomberg Options-Trading Launched

Bloomberg is launching a U.S. options trading platform.

A subsidiary, Bloomberg Tradebook has received permission from the National Association of Securities Dealers to offer and electronic equity options-trading platform for the U.S. market.

The new platform extends Bloomberg's reach into into equity options in addition to agency broker services, global equities and futures.

Functionality offered includes advanced trading and execution strategies. Modelling of complex, custom-designed options strategies coupled with the abiltiy to evaluate the profit profile of a potential trade.

Single orders, multiple queued orders and simultaneously triggered multiple orders will all be handled from traders.

Bloomberg Tradebook itself is fully owned by Bloomberg. As a vendor it sells electronic agency brokerage serving the institutional, broker and dealer markets.
