Oracle has finally released its Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite. The software is a portfolio of integrated products designed to protect applications, critical systems and data from unauthorized access.

Oracle has spent much of the last nine months buying companies and developing products to build the suite.

Technologies covered include:- web access control, identity administration, user provisioning, federated identity management, directory services.

The suite can be deployed in its entirety or with individual components.

The suite is made up of the following components:

Oracle COREid Access and Identity providing web single sign-on, policy based authentication, password administration, delegated user and group.

Oracle Xellerate Identity Provisioning automates the management of users access privileges within heterogeneous enterprise IT resources.

Oracle COREid Federation an identity federation server that allows cross-domain single sign-on and allows organizations to securely link their business partners into corporate portals or extranets.

Oracle Virtual Directory. LDAP transformation, proxy and routing capabilities.
