Mercury is to partner with Singapore Management University (SMU) to train IT professionals. To seal the deal Mercury has donated $1m of Mercury Performance Center software.
In return, SMU has developed a a BTO training course for graduating students. (Which will incidentally use the software supplied by Mercury).
Subjects on the course include application performance. Demand, project and resource management are on the agenda with risk mitigation in relation to deploying mission critical applications.
SMU has already deployed Mercury's Performance Center 8.1. Included are LoadRunner, Mercury Diagnostics, Mercury Tuning, Mercury Capacity Planning and Mercury Global Management.
"Mercury Performance Center 8.1 is instrumental in helping our senior Business IT students prepare for designing and testing solutions for the real world," said Professor Steven Miller, dean, School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University. "SMU is delighted that our students are the first in Asia Pacific to use this advanced software as part of our Architectural Analysis course."
