Ikea is to offer online tracking of orders. The new functionality is part of a roll-out of logistics and scheduling software from Paragon. Home delivery management software will come from Axida.

Axida's Hdi software was rolled out in July.

Ikea's Wholesale division uses the Axida software to manage the delivery of larger items held at central locations.

Paragon's Real-Time Router software will be rolled out in in the new year. Real-time scheduling will be enabled for its UK home delivery service.

Eventually customers will be able to see the complete supply chain from the point of sale through to delivery by Exel.
