Acunetix has announced the latest version of their flagship product, Web Vulnerability Scanner.

The suite concentrates on allowing companies to detect frequently exploited system vulnerabilities.

Website security is automatically audited using the software. An entire website can be crawled and be subjected to popular web attacks.

Typical attacks include: SQL Injection, cross site scripting and Google hacking.

A Gartner finding is cited that 75% of cyber attacks are done at the web application level. Acunetix claim that many companies have implemented firewall technology but have failed to protect data that can be compromised by hacks on web applications.
