The U.S. Internal Revenue Service has selected BearingPoint for one of fifteen companies able to compete for projects under the umbrella contract Total Information Processing Support Services (TIPSS-3).

TIPSS-3 covers three areas of critical support, Information Systems Services, Systems Security Services and Strategic Business Services.

The Department of Treasury and the Department of Homeland Security are the prime beneficiaries of the TIPSS-3 contract.

With many of the Treasury Department's key IT initiatives expected to fall under the TIPSS-3 contract, we are thrilled at the opportunity to support the objectives of the department and the other agencies covered by the contract, said Brad Bends, senior vice president for Civilian Agencies in BearingPoint's Public Services sector. "We look forward to applying our extensive experience in management consultation, security services and systems integration to assist the federal government in achieving its goals under the projects to be awarded."
