Security company, Secude IT Securit GmbH has joined SAP Consulting Security Alliance.
The organisation aims to support companies in implementing the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation. Selecting and implementing appropriations for meeting the requirements, is the main focus.
The move comes as foreign companies will have to start ramping up their compliance activities. They will have to meet the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley by the end of 2006.
American companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange have already had to be in compliance.
"As an IT security solution provider, we feel committed to supplying our clients with products for reducing the corporate risks and for helping them comply with the statutory regulations, The Global Security Alliance represents a major milestone in achieving our aim of being the number one choice for risk management and compliance," was the comment from Dr. Heiner Kromer, Secude IT Security CEO.
The SAP authorisation system allows the createion of specific user roles and rights. The Secude, signon&secure solution is based on digital certificates for SAP application.
The tie-in with Sarbanes-Oxley relates to the requirement that companies have internal controls over financial reporting. Users consequently need the IT access commensurate with their job and responsibilities.
