Amcol a vendor of specialty mineral products used for industrial, environmental and consumer-related applications, expects the costs for professional services relating to external audit services and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance to be approximately $0.4 million per quarter for the remainder of the year.

In the second quarter to 30 June 2005, the company saw its admin costs rise by $2.6m over the same period last year. $1m of this was due to professional fees incurred chasing Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
