MAF Bancorp (NASDAQ: MAFB) has reported net income for the second quarter ended June 30, 2005 of $25.1 million, or $.76 per diluted share, compared to $26.0 million, or $.77 per diluted share reported in last year's second quarter. The decline compared to a year ago was largely attributable to lower results in the Company's real estate development operation, where results are expected to be significantly better in the second half of 2005.
North Valley Bancorp reported net income for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 of $1,987,000 or $0.26 per diluted share compared to $1,982,000 or $0.29 per diluted share for the same period in 2004.
Northern Empire Bancshares (NASDAQ: NREB), the bank holding company for Sonoma National Bank, reported consolidated net income of $4,076,000 for the second quarter of 2005 compared to $3,649,000 for the second quarter of 2004, an increase of 11.70%. Earnings per share for the second quarter were $0.39 and $0.38 on a diluted basis, compared to $0.35 and $0.31 for the second quarter of 2004. For the six months ended June 30, 2005, net income was $8,275,000 or $0.77 per diluted share as compared to $7,230,000 or $0.62 per diluted share for the prior six month period.
Royal Bank America President/CEO Joseph P. Campbell reports that consolidated earnings for the bank's holding company, Royal Bancshares of Pennsylvania, Inc., (NASDAQ: RBPAA) for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, were $7.2 million as compared to $4.4 million for the same three-month period ended June 30, 2004, a 65% increase. Consolidated basic earnings per share for the three-months ended June 30, 2005 and 2004, were $0.58 and $0.35 respectively.
