Ryder System, a vendor of transportation and supply chain management solutions has appointed Charles R. Patton as Vice President for Compensation and Benefits.
"The design and implementation of competitive compensation plans and benefit offerings are key drivers in our ability to attract and retain the best talent in the industry needed to deliver increasingly higher quality products and services for our customers, said Jennifer Thomas.
"Charles's prior success in effectively managing worldwide compensation budgets and benefit programs will be instrumental in furthering Ryder's future growth strategies."
Earlier in his career, he served as Office Depot's Vice President, Compensation, Benefits & Human Resources Information System (HRIS), overseeing a $1.2 billion compensation planning and program design worldwide, including high-level compliance activities for Sarbanes-Oxley, New York Stock Exchange, Securities and Exchange Commission and the European Union for equity compensation, planning and oversight of international compensation and benefits budgets.
