Google

Web www.software-risk.co.uk

CardSytsems, the company involved in probably the largest ever data loss of identity information has lost another partner. American Express has said that will soon end its relationship with the processor.

CardSystems, only handled a small percentage of American Express's transactions.

Visa USA, yesterday announced that it will wind down with immediate effect its relationship with CardSystems.

Visa's reason for ending the relationship was that it could not "overlook the significant harm" generated by the breach. This, despite CardSystems' attempts to remediate its problems.

Mastercard, has given CardSystems until the end of August to develop a compliance plan. Until then MasterCard is allowing CardSystems to continue processing transactions.
