Keane, a U.S. based business and IT services firm has acquired Cresta Testing Inc, the U.S. affiliate of UK consulting firm Cresta Group

Cresta specializes in business focused testing strategy design, test process implementation and test execution, Cresta Testing Inc. shares a similar approach with Keane.

Testing begins at the start of the development project with business requirements and plays an integral part during the entire software development lifecycle, extending beyond deployment.

Traditionally, organizations have taken a tactical and ultimately costly approach to testing, using software developers to detect defects at the end of the software development process, said Kathy Weeks, vice president of Delivery Services at Keane. "Our approach, now strengthened with the addition of Cresta Testing Inc., begins testing and quality assurance processes in the critical early stages of development. Using established tools and techniques, we help our clients discover rapid and cost-effective improvements in their development projects -- and avoid costly project rework, customer dissatisfaction and litigation."
