Atlanta law firm Powell Goldstein has launched a Special Matters and Investigations practice.

Led by senior partner John Marshall, the unit will provide counsel on internal investigations, audit committee representation, grand jury and regulatory investigations, corporate and securities compliance and federal and state white-collar representation.

The practice will provide independent counsel to review a client's internal matters of a specific nature or to ensure general compliance with internal and external requirements. The team also will offer counsel for Sarbanes-Oxley and Securities and Exchange Commission compliance, as well as other federal and state laws and regulatory processes.
