Smith Micro a vendor of wireless communication and utility software products has appointed Andrew C. Schmidt as CFO.

Mr Schmidt replaces Robert Scheussler.

Mr Scheussley will stay with Smith Micro as a consultant, assist it in the assessment, documentation and testing of its internal controls over financial reporting processes to help with the Sarbanes-Oxley effort.
