BEA Launches BEA AquaLogic Data Services

BEA has made available the BEA AquaLogic Data Services Platform™. The application is a data services solution designed specifically to address the requirements of corporations deploying a service-oriented architecture (SOA). With a real-time, single view of data across multiple heterogeneous data stores and operating systems environments including Java and .Net, BEA AquaLogic Data Services Platform is designed to help enterprises improve productivity, business optimization and benefit from faster time-to value. With SOA, customers want to build, change or reuse relevant data services in a timely, accurate and customized manner, said Rob Levy, executive vice president of New Product Strategy for BEA Systems. Formerly called Liquid Data, BEA AquaLogic Data Services Platform is part of the BEA AquaLogic(TM) Product Family, a new product offering designed to address an emerging category of enterprise software called Service Infrastructure. Service Infrastructure is enterprise software designed to help enable the successful deployment of SOA in business environments by allowing services to be discovered, secured, managed and assembled into composite applications and processes -- regardless of the underlying technology. AquaLogic Data Services Platform is designed to facilitate higher levels of data consistency across applications and changing user scenarios. It is designed to enable real-time read/write which can mean more accurate and up-to-date information is captured and updated almost instantaneously to the respective source systems.
