Vericept Corporation, a provider of Intelligent Compliance and Content Protection Solutions, today announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Black White Box, another provider in delivering control and management of end-point devices, in a combined cash and stock transaction.

What Vericept has bought is the ability to deliver content-based security to endpoint devices, such as laptops, workstations and USB drives. The new functionality will integrate with Vericept's existing Adaptive Policy Management system.

"The addition of Black White Box's technology is strategic to Vericept's future. This technology is an integral component of our overall strategy to further grow our leadership position in the Compliance and Content Protection space," said Tery Larrew, President and CEO of Vericept Corporation. "We are constantly researching market opportunities and emerging technologies and this acquisition allows us to solve our customers' additional needs for a comprehensive content protection solution."
