DataPath, a telecoms integrator has acquired the assets of M&C Systems a vendor of satellite communications monitoring control systems.

With the acquisition, DataPath gains new control and monitoring systems capabilities for satellite earth terminals, transportables, Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs) and Telemetry Tracking and Control (TT&C).

Organizations require the ability to monitor and manage satellite earth stations and communications infrastructure health 24x7, said Christopher Baugh, president, Northern Sky Research, LLC. "As organizations continue to deploy satellite communications to support an increasing array of business-critical operations, they require 360-degree visibility and management control to ensure 24x7 availability and superior performance. DataPath's acquisition of the assets of M&C Systems enhances DataPath's value proposition as a total satellite earth terminal and communications solution provider."

DataPath's customers include government and corporations. Company publicity lists the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marines and the Army National Guard.

Solutions offered include voice, video and internet communications that can be rapidly deployed.
