Business Object and Tibco have announced a partnership on technology.

The deal centres on improved process performance management and making business intelligence (BI) more widely available through the enterprise.

Tibco is bringing the TIBCO(R) Staffware Process Suite and Business Objects the BusinessObjects XI Built for Operational BI for intergration.

BusinessObjects XI is a platform independent solution for enterprises business process management (BPM).

TIBCO and Business Objects share the same vision for the integration of business intelligence and process management, said Janet Wood, group vice president of global alliances and OEM at Business Objects. "With BusinessObjects(TM) XI Built for Operational BI, we are providing embedded analytics as part of business processes, giving more end users across an organization access to the information they need, when they need it, thereby improving overall efficiency. The goal of this partnership is to extend that vision even further."

The aim for Business Objects is to make BI more pervasive through the enterprise.
