Mega-retailer Tesco has awarded a multi-million pound three-year IT outsourcing contract to Xansa.

Xansa is thus guaranteed a minimum revenue until 2008. Tesco and Xansa however have a fifteen year history.

The main target of the new contract is to drive down IT costs with improved delivery, productivity and offshoring.

The work will be done in the UK and India.

IT work covered will include, application management, project management, distribution and stock replenishment improvements. Payroll systems in the UK and Ireland, will also be serviced by Xansa.
