Outsourced Councils Lower Performance

Performance by local authorities that have outsourced their IT operations is below that of in-house operations.

The finding comes from a Socitm survey of council IT managers.

Satisfaction levels were 13% lower in the 10 outsourced authorities than in 75 in-house.
