Maestro, business performance management software from Microsoft has been released for beta testing.

Companies can use the software to build, manage and use business scorecards and key performance indicators collaboratively.

The application is used alongside Microsoft's Office suite.

Microsoft's original business intelligence product was the Business Scorecard Accelerator. Maestro is the next generation product.

“Maestro is a key deliverable in our strategy for business intelligence (BI), bridging the gap between enterprise data sources and the information workers who need to view and analyse business information, as well as plan, make decisions and collaborate with others,” said Lewis Levin, Microsoft corporate vice president of Office business applications.
