Sarbanes-Oxley compliance has a major impact on IT operations, according to a recent survery by Mercury Interactive and the Economist Intelligence Unit.

68% of 800 IT executives in 22 countries were questioned about the controversial legislation and similar legislation overseas.

Compliance with regulatory regimes was one of the greatest challenges facing IT managers, according to 80% of US IT executives.
