MySQL and Red Hat

Linux software supplier, Red Hat has strengthed its partnership with database provider MySQL. High-end demand server database applications are the target.

Applications they are aiming at include website and data warehousing.

MySQL is already being used to deliver integrated collaborative technical support, on a platform of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

The MySQL database is to be tested in conjuction with the Red Hat Cluster Suite and Global File System (GFS).The aim is for MySQL users to access a highly available clustered database via all open source technologies.
