Real Player Security Flaw Patched

A security flaw in RealNetworks's has been fixed and a patch made available.

A buffer overflow vulnerability allowed the bad guys to run their own code remotely on users PCs.

Secunia, a security research company, rated the flaw as "highly critical". Affected are recent versions of Real Player for both Windows and Macs.

RealNetworks have stated that they have not received any reports of attacks being traced back to RealPlayer.
