Cisco Forced To Issue Vulnerability Patches

Google

Web www.software-risk.co.uk

Networking giant Cisco is issuing two security patches. The system with holes is the Internetwork Operating System (IOS).

The first flaw allows the bad guys to launch a Denial Of Service (DoS) attack.

Routers and devices running Secure Shell (SSH) servers for remote management are affected.

The second, allows them to gain unauthorised access to a network. An attacker could send rogue code to a router to allow access.

The vulnerability scope is quite limited. Only devices running IOS Easy VPN Server are affected.
