VoIP Code Of Practice

VoIP operators now have a new code of practice to adhere to, courtesy of the ITSPA. Version 1.0 has been launched with the aim of improving consumer information and awareness about VoIP services.(ITSPA stands for Internet Telephony Services Providers’ Association) To view the code in full. The organisation hopes the code will evolve as it works with Ofcom, the industry regulator and other groups. Claire Hobson, Head of Telecoms Policy at the DTI, said, "ITSPA's launch is a good step towards putting the interests of consumers at the forefront of the Voice-over Internet Protocol industry. We'll certainly be working closely with the new Association in our work to encourage the development of VoIP in the UK".
